A day left from summer

What a gorgeous day left over from summer, sun is shining, sky is clear blue, everything looks gorgeous.  After a long hiatus due to anane's health, I am back. It was a very challenging time for our family but thank God everything is great now. Anane is healthy, we are healthy and all is wonderful.

I am trying to compile little tips for life to help me, help my gorgeous son and everyone who may need an extra little help in life; whether its organizing- which happens to be my forte, cleaning- again I have trophies in that division, cooking- according to popular view I may modestly say I am good, traveling-which should be my profession, or anything else that is good that can be better.

So in that line of thought, today I want to include my bread pudding recipe which gained an avid following after this week's book club meeting. Here is the very simple recipe for that:

Homemade Bread Pudding:

8 slices of whole wheat or whole grain bread, toasted & cut in to small squares
1/2 cup of sugar or honey
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 cup of raisins
Nuts optional

-Preheat oven to 350F
-Melt butter in a pie dish and grease the sides (so the bread does not stick while baking)
-Mix milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, raisins (and nuts if you want) in a bowl
-Add bread to the bowl, coat it well, mix it up
-Pour all of the mix into the pie dish.
-Bake for 30 -45 minutes and eat it warm with whipped cream or icecream.

Lots of love, blessings & hugs...
